Kearney, NE – Doug Kramer with the Buffalo County Attorney’s Office was honored by the Buffalo County Community Partners Board of Directors at the August 12 Board meeting with the Above and Beyond Volunteer Award. This award is presented to individuals who make meaningful contributions within their communities through innovation, service, collaboration, and a steadfast commitment to improving the lives of others. Doug Kramer embodies these qualities through both his professional career and extensive volunteer efforts, consistently going above and beyond to strengthen Buffalo County and support youth, families, and community partners. He has played a vital role in numerous initiatives that promote community wellness and public safety. Through his professional work and his volunteer work with Buffalo County Community Partners, Doug has devoted countless hours to mentoring youth, supporting prevention efforts, and assisting
community organizations. In his tenure he helped build the Buffalo County Diversion program which has been modeled throughout the state. One of Doug’s many contributions to Community Partners has been serving as a certified TIPS trainer, educating approximately 1,500 servers and retail partners in responsible beverage service practices. This work has strengthened local prevention strategies aimed at reducing youth access to alcohol and creating safer environments for young people and families.
