KEARNEY – The Kearney Works recently hired Stan Zimbelman as the first Executive Director.  His first day with the new nonprofit will be December 1.

He has more than 26 years of workforce development experience working for the Nebraska Department of Labor in their Grand Island, Norfolk and Kearney offices since 1990.

Zimbelman, who is a Kearney native, lives in Kearney with his wife and has been commuting to Grand Island since the Nebraska Department of Labor closed the Kearney office in 2008.
