Our community aligns partners in forums to share and receive resources for a defined community segment. These forums meet regularly with no formal agenda, except to share and receive resources. Find information on resource groups below:
Community Connections
Community Connections – Meets monthly to discuss a noteworthy number of community resources for people of all ages, facilitated by Community Action Partnership. A great place to ask questions about existing resources in your community. Contact us for more information on meeting dates and times
The Aging Coalition
Meets monthly to discuss resources for older adults in your community, facilitated by local partners. They meet in a variety of locations to learn about local adult supportive services. Contact us for more information on meeting dates and times.
Youth Wellness Café
Youth and parents are invited to join regular meetings to share local mental health resources, facilitated by Families Care. Contact them for more information on meeting dates and times.
Migrant Parent Gatherings
Migrant Parent Gatherings are held regularly to help migratory children and youth meet high academic challenges by overcoming the obstacles created by frequent moves, educational disruption, cultural and language differences, and health-related problems. Facilitated by Educational Service Unit 9. Contact them for more information on meeting dates and times.
Kearney Area Chamber Community Connection
A roundtable discussion with elected officials from Kearney City Council, Buffalo County Commissioners, and the Kearney Public School Board. Facilitated by Kearney Area Chamber of Commerce. Meetings are held on the 2nd Wednesday of the month at 7:30 A.M. Contact them for more information.
Consumer and Family Coalition
Educates community leaders, families, and individuals about recovery, wellness, and peer support services. The Coalition primarily focuses on recovery and empowerment of individuals and families to know about resilience, advocacy, laws, prevention, and systems change relating to behavioral health challenges. Peer lead by Region 3 Consumer Recovery Specialist and Goodwill Recovery Specialist. Contact them for more information on meeting dates and times.
