— Buffalo County Community Partners Board of Directors announces changes in the board for the coming year. New leadership roles have been established:
Crystal Winfield, Executive Director UniNet Kearney – Chair
Peggy O’Dea (Retired) Education – Vice Chair
Megan Loomis, Probation Officer State of Nebraska – Treasurer
Andrea Rabe, Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner – Secretary
Nikki Gausman, Executive Director at the SAFE Center, has served as chairman of the Board of Directors for the past two years and will be stepping down to serve as past chairman. Gausman has served on the board since 2009 and lead the board through the formation of the HelpCare Clinic and Kearney Works Board of Directors as well as launching new coalitions to address suicide prevention, community wellness, youth violence
and 20th Year Celebration. “She is a welcome and calm mentor for our organization, her experience in non-profit management was key to our efforts. You could always give her a call to talk and determine next steps for this organization. We thank her for her leadership,” said Denise Zwiener, Executive Director Community Partners.
Three board members are stepping down this year; Bob Lammers, City of Kearney Council Member; Sue Reiber, artist and area representative from Shelton and Buss Biehl, retiring Buffalo County Commissioner.
Four new board members will be joining January 1, 2017;
Kathy Gifford, KPS School Board Member
Judy Schultz, WIC Director Community Action Partnership of Mid-Nebraska
AnnDrea Boe, Client Service & Program Manager SCORR Marketing
Janelle Grabowski, Retired Ravenna Teacher
Board members are selected to serve in one of seven core community constituencies; government, education, human services, business and industry, health care providers, health care organizations and church, civic and consumers. “By structuring our board to meet community focus areas, we can ensure that we build collaborative approaches to meet our mission and strengthen our communities’ health,” said Zwiener.
